

Bio
Sophomore fullback/fly-half, 6'2", 190 pounds, entering his second year with the South Carolina Gamecock rugby team. Looking to transition to fullback in the 2025-26 season to leverage his defensive skills in the backfield and utilize his running game in wider channels and counterattacks. Aims to further develop his leadership while learning from upperclassmen and coaches.​

2024 (Freshman)
As a true freshman, started at fly-half for the A-side in the fall, playing a pivotal role in organizing teammates and balancing facilitation with an effective running game. Excelled in kicking, achieving a conversion rate above 75% and delivering strong in-play kicks. Injuries limited his spring participation, playing in only two of six 7’s tournaments.

HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from The Southport School, a prestigious all-boys school on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. In his senior year, held multiple leadership roles in school, house, and sports. Competed in the Open Firsts for Golf (Captain), Track & Field (Representative Blazer), Cross Country, and Rugby (Representative Blazer), starting all rugby games at fullback.​​

PERSONAL
Charlie Dwyer was born on December 2nd, 2005 in Sydney, Australia. Grew up as an expatriate in Vanuatu and China before returning to Australia for schooling. Majoring in Psychology (B.S.) with a minor in Sports Management.
