Thirty-four members of the University of South Carolina men’s rugby club have been named to the 2025-26 National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Scholastic All-American teams.
That’s more than any other college rugby team in the nation.
After South Carolina, Brown (men) placed 25 members in the program, followed by Northeastern University (women) with 22.
In all, (NCR) named 1,148 student-athletes as 2025–26 Scholastic All Americans. This year’s honorees include 473 women and 675 men representing 152 institutions across the nation.
The Scholastic All American program annually recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. To qualify, athletes must maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher for the academic year and be rostered for at least 50% of the A-side matches during the Fall and Spring seasons.
“This is an incredible testament to our club culture,” said University of South Carolina Head Coach John Roberts. “Our guys work hard on and off the pitch. We are so honored to have so many excellent scholars in our program. Their scholarly achievements inspire our coaches and their teammates. I would also like to thank Coach Roy Hulsey who coordinated with the squad in processing these applications.”
